Cake!
For those who weren't lucky enough go to the NEC Louisa set us a challenge on MSE to make a card featuring cake! The idea of what to do came quite quickly, shame the execution didn't follow suit.....Anyway here it is! I think it looks a bit unbalanced, maybe the cakestand is not 'heavy' enough. DH wasn't impressed but I didn't have time to start again. The papers were from my stash, the cupcakes I've had a while came from Paperchase.

Another! Birthday card.
Here's the card I made for Gail's (Myz) birthday. The backing paper is really a scrapbook paper with a 'built in' border that I cut down and used 'cos I liked the colour. Sadly, I can't remember what it was called, neither can I tell you where the image came from but a bonus was it was already coloured! I punched the little flowers myself and added shimmer dots to them all. A craftwork sentiment completed 'the look'. For once, I was quite pleased with my work, although now I can see it looks a bit crooked. Ah well!
Thank you for looking!

Birthday Card
Here is a photo of the card I made for the lovely Oona (aka Choccy) for her birthday last week. I used a MME paper and border, cut at the bottom with my favourite doily lace punch. I think I could have made more of that if I'd had some colour behind it. The girl was one that Rusty kindly sent me some time ago so can't remember what it's called. I coloured the image to match the paper (ish) and layered it on embossed gemstones card. The flowers & gems were from my stash. I haven't got any leaves so I pinched this from my M&S potpourri I think I got away with it! The sentiment was from craftwork cards. Thank you for looking.

Lyndach's MSE Challenge
On MSE Lyndach set us a sketch challenge. Here is my entry. It doesn't look very 'Easter' like because the colours are a bit too dark. I started with the image which I thought was cute but left me with little choice of colour. I picked up the wrong piece of pinky lilac backing paper and by the time I realised it was too late. The centre panel is papermania, the side strips are paper lace coloured with copic pen and the sentiment was printed on the PC and edged in pink to match the image. Thank you for looking!
PS I didn't colour the image I wish I had - it came like that!

Hello!
Thought I'd better blog again before I forget how to do it.
This is a card I made in February for Val's (MrsB'sBlog) birthday. The papers are Cosmo Cricket, the image a Sarah Kay coloured rather badly on the PC, and Prima flowers. The sentiment and card candy from Craftwork cards finish it off. Looking at it now the colours don't 'go' as well as I thought they did when I made it. - Sorry Val!
